I’m William, and Anchoring is just me. I design the rings and draw the parts myself, and I’m the one emailing machine shops about them. I’m in Alaska.
I’m building this in the open. The first prototypes have been worn and measured, and I’m finishing the drawings for the next round.
What it is
A 316L stainless steel ring with a channel cut around the outside. A silicone insert sits in that channel. Pull it out, put a different one in, and it’s a different ring.
The insert is supposed to sit a little proud of the channel, so there’s a ridge your thumb can find. On the first prototypes it didn’t. They came out about level and there was nothing to feel, which is the main thing the next round has to fix.
Where things stand
Nothing’s for sale yet, and this site will say so until that changes. If you want to know when the first rings are ready, email me and I’ll tell you.
